Hi everyone, I’m Zhixuan!
Two years ago, as a BME fresher, Bioengineering Society was the first club I joined. I attended the Welcome Fair and was immediately inspired by the vibrant energy and collaboration within this community. Since then, I’ve attended numerous events, met incredible peers, and grown both academically and socially. Now, I feel so strong that it’s my turn to contribute.
As your Vice President, I will:
- Unlock More Research & Internship Opportunities!
- Create a Research Placement database by collaborating with Bioengineering Department, regularly updating available lab positions
- Secure exclusive internships by strengthening industry partnerships, expanding alumni networks, and launching monthly opportunity updates
- Expand research accessibility by launching a Research Mentorship & Guidance Program, where students with research experience share insights
- Your Voice, Your Society!
- Enhance transparency with regular social media updates to keep everyone informed
- Establish an open feedback system where every member can submit valuable ideas anonymously and help shape Society’s future

- Strengthen our close-knit community by maintaining Mums & Dads, movie nights, Christmas Dinner, and the most exciting Boat Party!
Over the last few years, I’ve successfully led an NGO and four student clubs, impacting 600+ people while developing strong leadership and organisational skills. With my experience and passion for student engagement, I’m ready to take on the responsibility of Vice President.
