Hello everyone! I’m Chris, a third-year Design Engineering student, and I’m running to be your next CGCU Guildsheet Editor. With a passion for engaging storytelling, effective communication, and strong editorial experience, I want to take the Guildsheet to the next level—ensuring it remains an exciting, informative, and representative voice for all CGCU members.

✍️ Creative, Engaging, and Interactive Content

I aim to introduce more student involvement in the Guildsheet through:

• Opinion pieces and guest columns from students
• Themed issues and special feature sections
• Interactive elements such as puzzles, polls, and competitions

🎨 Visually Appealing, Professionally Designed

With my Design Engineering background, I’ll enhance the layout, readability, and visual design of the Guildsheet—making it as engaging as it is informative.

🏗 Improving Digital Accessibility & Reach

Beyond the print edition, I will expand the Guildsheet’s online presence by:

• Improving its integration with the CGCU website and social media
• Exploring interactive digital formats to reach a wider audience
• Ensuring archived editions are easy to access and navigate

My Experience

🔹 Editorial & Writing Skills – Through my previous work with DesSoc and other student-led initiatives, I have experience in content creation, editing, and managing publications.
🔹 Graphic Design & Layout – As a Design Engineer, I am skilled in tools like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Figma, ensuring professional-quality layouts.
🔹 Strong Organisational Abilities – My leadership in DesSoc has shown I can manage deadlines, coordinate with teams, and execute projects efficiently.
