Amelia Farrow-Foster

Hello everyone! My name is Amelia and I would love to be your Welfare Vice Chair for Campaigns this year. The Welfare team has been a huge part of my time at Imperial and I believe it is so important that students are aware of the services and resources that are there to support them.

As RAG Publicity Officer this year, I have produced informative and engaging Instagram posts for the RAG Instagram account. This will be useful in my role as Welfare Vice Chair for Campaigns because I will be able to effectively communicate important welfare messages in ways that will engage with our audience. In my role as Social Secretary for Netball I organised a range of events so I have developed skills that are transferrable in coordinating and planning campaigns for welfare next year.

Some ideas I have for the role next year:

• To develop Senara’s work with incorporating staying active in welfare campaigns (e.g. yoga sessions), I would like to organise “Welfare Walks” to get people outside while exercising too.
• Continue to signpost Imperial Welfare resources that currently exist to remind students that resources are available and accessible throughout the year.
• Work with student societies to gain insight and help with campaigns relevant to raising awareness to their society. This will help with student engagement and create a stronger ICSM community by us all working together.
