BMB society hasn’t provided the sense of community we need - and that has to be changed.
- Why is our Christmas dinner more expensive than other societies’?
- Why is everything tailored to medics, not BMB students?
- Where can we find help for UROPs, internships, and academics?
- What is BMBsoc actually doing for us?
Having experience running events, finding sponsors, fundings, working with faculty and ICU, as your president, I will take action to fix this.
My Goals for BMB Society
✔️ Cheaper events: I developed a sponsorship brochure to secure external funding, which will lower event costs and provide students direct industry connections.
✔️ Better Academic & Career Support : I will organize UROP talks and career fairs earlier, expand to fields like finance and law, and set up peer-led academic Q&A sessions for ICAs, exams or labpods.
✔️ Stronger Community & Welfare : More welfare events (ICA Pizza Day!), and an approachable committee to address student concerns.
✔️ BMB-Focused Events : London Biomed Boat Party? Merch Design Competition? Winter Ball? Let’s make this happen and create our own identity beyond ICSM.
✔️ More Organization & Transparency: The most important thing as a president is to understand the needs of BMB students from all 3 years, and have an organized and well planned timeline of events and agenda shared to members in the earliest time ever.
