1. I was a participant and winner of the 2023 RCSU Science Challenge
2. I have previously worked in science communication projects, having written articles for science magazines and produced information pamphlets for local hospitals
3. My previous experience in organising events allows me to offer determined and effective leadership
My Aims
1. Make the Science Challenge More Inclusive
- Ensuring all natural sciences are equally represented.
- Choosing broad themes that allow biologists, chemists, physicists, and beyond to showcase their expertise.biologists, chemists and physicists
2. Expand the Scope & Reach of the Challenge
- Partnering with other universities, schools, and science organizations to increase national and international engagement.
- Working with science outreach programs to attract students from diverse backgrounds.
3. Diversify Science Communication Media
- Allowing participants to submit a wider variety of formats, including infographics, posters, films, podcasts, and interactive media.
- Incorporating creative storytelling media like poetry, animations, or short stories.
- Exhibiting these top entries at the awards ceremony and in other RCSU media
