Dear fellow Mechanical Engineers,

I am excited to stand for Department Academic Representative and the opportunity to continue representing our academic journey. Having served as the ME1 Academic Representative, I have committed myself to ensuring my peers are represented by keeping the channels open with open communication and collaborating with staff to create a better change. I regularly take surveys to take the pulse of issues that concern my cohort so that my proposals are based on real student concern. A classic example of this was views on the Computing module, leading to campaigning for changes that are nearer to our needs. I would also support and help organise events like the take me out event we had this term to keep the spirits and morale high!
