Hey everyone! I’m Karin, one of the current 2nd Year Academic Reps. I've really enjoyed representing you this year and I’m excited to take that further by becoming your Department Academic Rep!!

(Me thinking: Can I use the same joke twice?? Eh why not 😂) To keep it short and sweet, while this degree might be a breeze for some, maybe a more familiar description of the mech eng experience is that it's a bit like looking both ways before you cross a road then getting hit by an airplane :) As your rep, l’ll work to keep that airplane where it belongs - in the sky - by representing you!

On a more serious note I still stand by the main message of my previous manifesto and that’s the fact that how I’ll be doing that is always up to YOU. I believe it needs to be personalised; whether it is an idea that you and your friends have, incorporating more structured feedback from submissions in second year, working on improving the current computing course structure, or addressing a significant issue that you face on a regular basis, each must be addressed differently.

As I spend a lot of my time on campus, I'm around to hear you out and will always try to help whether that be help from me personally or by referring you to those who can !!
