Oliver Coombes

Hi, I'm Oliver a 3rd year Geophysics student and I'm running to be your Academic Dep Rep for 25-26. You may also know me as RSM Hockey treasurer.

As Academic Dep Rep, I will be dedicated to amplifying your voices and improving your educational experience, providing a student-first attitude. I aim to be approachable, and effectively communicate all student feedback to faculty / teaching staff by working closely with our Academic Rep team.

Having both secondary and sixth form teaching experience I have a unique perspective to how academics works for students and staff. I am a firm believer that university education is not just for exams, but to expand the breadth and depth of our subject knowledge.

For 25-26, I plan to maintain excellent levels of communication between our departmental faculty and student body.

I will provide all I can to ensure your voices are heard and get action from the department.
