Hi, I’m Marco, and I’m running to be your DPCS!
I want everyone at Imperial to easily organise, collaborate, and participate in Clubs, Societies, and Projects (CSPs) with the least barriers possible.
With two years of experience in Raising and Giving as Treasurer, alongside my time on the Football Team committee, I understand the challenges CSPs face and how to help them succeed.
What’s the Plan?
Better Communication, Less Bureaucracy
- Ensure CSPs have a direct say in events like Welcome Fair through town hall meetings to reflect their needs better.
- Implement direct office hours for CSPs to speak with the DPCS, improving transparency.
- Streamline external Imperial varsity processes to make it easier for sports teams to compete.
Holistic Development and Collaboration
- Create an official platform for CSPs to collaborate across Imperial and London universities.
- Facilitate sponsorship opportunities by developing a Union-supported sponsorship channel.
- Promote more music opportunities via increased collaboration with Union venues, responding to clear demand.
- Introduce a sustainability framework with incentives for CSPs organising tours to reduce their carbon footprint.
Inclusivity in CSPs
- Increase CSPs' exposure to postgraduates, by launching a monthly activities newsletter, after gathering feedback from more than 100 PG reps.
- Extend the Student Experience Fund so more students can access financial support to participate in CSPs activities, namely sports that have high membership costs.
- Expand support for student-led projects, even those not officially affiliated with the Union.
