Heya !! I’m Angie and I'm running to be your next ICSM Clubs and Societies Chair.
I've immersed myself in several clubs and socs which has been integral in developing the skills needed to be your next C+S Chair. Throughout my roles so far, I've become familiar with the innerworkings of ICU, the skills required to run a successful committee, and logistical knowledge that best positions me to support your concerns throughout the year.
Here are the main issues that I would like to address:
Training
- Includes promotion of the financial booklet made last year so all our committees are supported with everything finance and more- ensuring that contracts, POs, etc. are submitted within the correct timeframe and that they understand annual budgeting, especially with the new system changes.
CSP Events
- I'd like to encourage collaboration between societies and SU so they're more in touch with each other in their event planning, especially for conferences.
- This would involve scheduling 1-2-1s with conference chairs; creating a comprehensive calendar; and using this overview to help strategize collaborations, reduce overlaps and sort out room bookings alongside conference chairs.
Reynolds Bar
- I hope to continue the communications SU have had so far re: Reynolds and its usage. Next year, I'd like to focus on furniture maintenance and staff training, to further improve the Sports Night experience.
