Daniel Zhuo

Hey! I am Daniel, your current CGCU president running for my third term. It has been quite a long journey since I first got involved with CGCU, and I am sincerely grateful for all the support you have given me for the past two years.

In these years I have been expanding the range of activities that CGCU could provide, increasing student participation and strengthening our sense of community. I am running again because I truly love CGCU – its history, traditions, and most importantly, the engineers we represent. This will be my final year to contribute, and I intend to use my experience to continue our work in improving student life for all our members.

My main goal for the coming year is to collaborate with the ICU President and DPCS to introduce dedicated spaces for engineering projects—spaces that could mirror the White City Advanced Hackspace. I understand this is a long-term challenge, as engineering students have struggled for years to secure a dedicated on-campus space, and it has not been easy to get to White City. I do hope at least we can continue seeking solutions and lay the groundwork for future generations to have a centralised engineering space like other top Univesities do.
