Vritika Ravisangar
Cardiovascular: Vice Chair
As a driven, enthusiastic member of Cardiology society, my goal is to enhance its impact and create a supportive community for students exploring the diverse field of cardiology.
My vision includes:
- Facilitating high-quality events with extensive workshops and talks on latest innovations in cardiology like catheter based procedures and ventricular assist devices.
- Introducing more lecture series and creating SBA booklets to support early years by enhancing access to knowledge, paired with Anki decks for enhanced engagement.
- Promoting society’s events and initiatives through social medias to elevate member participation which will build a strong network amongst like-minded students so they feel motivated to interact with cardiology passionately.
My experience:
- Assisting with a global health initiative and being part of surgical society subcommittee, gave me insight into event planning and creating educational opportunities which I will use to show initiative and adapt quickly to challenges, ensuring we deliver impactful and valuable events.
- Project development through a QIP where I coordinated with doctors to create an IMG induction booklet demonstrating my ability to create structured initiatives and deliver lasting resources, which I will use to work with committee and guest speakers to foster strong relationships and oversee projects that advance the society’s educational goals.
- Gaining research experience concerning cardiology-related approaches to treatment which has given me a deep founded appreciation for the speciality.
- Liaised with speakers, managed dry and wet workshops, handled logistics with time management and problem-solving for conferences as part of Oncology society subcommittee.
