Sam-I Liew
Hi! I'm Sam-I, a first-year Economics, Finance, and Data Science student, drawn to the dynamic world of Finance. Though it hasn’t been long, being warmly welcomed into the Women in Business community has inspired me to contribute! Entering Business and Finance can feel daunting, especially with few female role models. WiB is a pillar of support, offering a space where we can share experiences, learn from each other, and find empowerment. With all the amazing events this society offers, I want to spread the word encouraging more people to join a community where they feel empowered to chase their dreams!
I bring you valuable experience from leading the Feminist Society at sixth form, where I created marketing materials for weekly sessions. This honed my skills in creative tools and social media management, enabling me to engage diverse audiences. I used platforms like Instagram to drive participation, maximizing the impact of our initiatives. Additionally, as co-chair of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, I led discussions on the school’s equality plan and facilitated conversations between students and management. I hope to ensure your voice is heard and that no one feels left out.
At WiB, I envision using my skills to elevate our outreach efforts. I plan to create visually appealing, consistent, and engaging content across all our social media platforms, highlighting the incredible opportunities and events we offer. My goal is to foster a vibrant online presence that not only attracts new members but also strengthens our current community!
