Amira Ali
I’m Amira and I would love to be Phase One Mock Lead for MM.
By volunteering and attending various Muslim Medics events throughout the year, I have gained an understanding and appreciation for the importance of knowledge that being Phase One Mock Lead brings. CPA and OSCE mocks are fundamental in bridging the gap from faculty and doing well in the exams.
I believe I am well suited to the role as alongside my dedication I will bring enthusiasm, commitment and organisation, which I’ve developed through previous roles like founding the MWF Society and being a StudentShaper. These skills will aid me in organising, distributing event information and connecting committee with volunteers so that we can carry out the mocks smoothly and efficiently. A recurring problem is the huge dropout of volunteers often close to the days. To improve this, early communication and a bank of fourth year friends will be key.
MM has been integral in my years at university and I have admired the motivation and integrity that each member brings to benefit the students it caters to, and I would love to be a part of its legacy. If given the opportunity, I endeavour to be a motivated and reliable member of committee and use my insight and commitment to help me excel in this charitable pursuit. I will take on this role with the best of intentions to make a positive impact on all those who benefit from Muslim Medics Insh’allah.
