Janice Chan
Hi I am Janice, studying Year 2 Mechanical Engineering. I am running for Design Project Manager because I am deeply committed to advancing sustainable energy solutions and believe my diverse experience in sustainability positions me to make a meaningful impact within the society.
Through my past internships, I have worked extensively on sustainability initiatives, such as developing carbon auditing tools, recommending cost-efficient ESG platforms, and creating strategies to reduce fossil fuel consumption in schools. My experience has given me a strong understanding of the intersection between sustainability and engineering, which I am eager to apply to energy design projects. I also led efforts at Santander to create a roadmap for transitioning clients to a net-zero economy, further deepening my knowledge of sustainability in real-world applications.
In addition to my sustainability work, I have a proven track record of leading successful projects. At my past internship, I contributed to pioneering designs that reduced carbon emissions by minimizing steel usage, further highlighting my commitment to sustainability in engineering.
As Design Project Manager, I will prioritize innovative energy projects that focus on sustainability, leveraging my experience to push for low-carbon, efficient systems. I am excited to lead projects that make a tangible difference and collaborate with others to ensure our work has real-world impact. Thank you for your support.
