Rasha Rashid
Hi everyone, I'm Rasha! I am excited to run for the position of Annual Conference Co-Chair alongside Arani, with a focus on building upon the success of previous years while introducing fresh and meaningful initiatives. My experience spans two years on the Paediatrics Conference subcommittee, assisting with the Radiology Conference, and most significantly, contributing to last year's highly successful GP Conference. I was heavily involved in key areas like speaker recruitment, workshop facilitation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
This year, we aim to introduce new concepts and enhance our achievements. Our key objectives are:
- Engaging, Relevant Content: We want to ensure our speakers provide expert insights and focus on real-world applications in public health and general practice. These topics will take centre stage to make the conference both educational and practical.
- Hands-On, Practical Workshops: Building on last year’s workshops, we propose expanding into more immersive experiences, such as simulation-based GP training and interactive case discussions.
- Portfolio Careers Carousel: One of our key aims is to introduce a networking session that showcases the diversity within GP careers. Attendees will have the chance to meet GPs with various professional profiles—whether it’s academia, clinical practice, or other special interests. This session will also include guidance on the GP training pathway, competitive entry points, speciality exams, diplomas available, and advice on shaping your career to fit your personal goals.
We are committed to delivering an impactful conference that meets your needs, and we would be honoured to have your support :)
