Rohan Boyapati
Hello!
My Name is Rohan Boyapati
As a third-year medical student at Imperial College London, I have had the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of cultures, faiths, and communities. Coming from a Telugu Hindu background, I actively engage with my faith and culture, which has shaped my appreciation for the importance of diverse religious and cultural identities. Whether it's participating in Indian events like Garba or serving on the committee for the Telugu Society, I have consistently sought to foster connections between people and celebrate our shared experiences.
I believe that a strong, inclusive community is built on mutual respect, understanding, and care for each other's well-being. The welfare of students is important, and I understand how much faith can play a role in that. I appreciate the importance of creating a supportive environment for students of all beliefs, making sure their religious needs are respected and that they feel heard.
If elected as your Interfaith Welfare Officer, I will work closely with all faith groups, societies, and the College Chaplaincy to ensure that every student's spiritual and welfare needs are met. I am committed to promoting a culture of tolerance, where diversity is not just accepted but celebrated. My aim is to make sure that every student, regardless of their faith, can thrive at Imperial College.
With my experience, dedication, and commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, I hope to represent and support the diverse faith needs of our university community.
Thanks for your support!
