Gender Equality: Campaigns Officer

Hi everyone! I’m Satvika, a 3rd year medic. I'm excited to run for Campaigns Officer for Gender Equality because I believe we can make Imperial a more inclusive place for everyone. Here’s what I aim to do:

  1. Amplifying Voices: I want to ensure that everyone, especially those in underrepresented groups, have a platform to be heard - particularly as Imperial focuses solely on STEM, where gender disparities are common.

  2. Inclusive Campaigns: My goal is to run campaigns that embrace all gender identities and promote connectedness, creating a space where everyone feels seen. I hope to organise workshops and discussions during key months like Women’s History and Pride Month, fostering learning and awareness around gender equality.

  3. Taking action: I’ll address key issues like gender-based violence, pay equity, and leadership opportunities through impactful campaigns that inspire unity and real change.
