Lucy Jackson
Hi everyone!
As design engineering students, we know the workload can be intense. That’s why I’m running for Wellbeing Representative—to help us balance it with support and fun.
What I’ll Do:
-
Your Voice, Heard: I’ll advocate for our wellbeing and social needs. If there are any issues with course content, exams, or teaching, I’ll make sure the right people are contacted to resolve them.
-
Support for Everyone: I’ll ensure you know how to access mental health and academic support, guiding you to the right resources whenever you need them. I’m also here to help with mitigating circumstances forms. I want the course to be fair for everyone, including those facing mental health challenges or disabilities, by making sure support is available in lectures, workshops, and daily life.
-
More Social Events: I’m excited to organize more fun events, like an adult soft play night with arcade games and a bar, while supporting peers to plan their own activities. After Dies Elegantiarum, I’ll arrange a club night, and if there’s interest, a Centre Parcs trip to kick off summer!
-
Encouraging Participation: My goal is to create inclusive events where everyone feels welcome, whether it’s big socials or smaller gatherings, so more people can join in and have a great time.
Why Vote for Me?
I’m a friendly face you can always chat with or text if you need support, and I’ve got lots of ideas to make our time here more fun and connected!
