As a first-year student in Chemical Engineering, I know how overwhelming the transition to university can be. That’s why I’m excited to run for the position of Year One Wellbeing Representative. My goal is to ensure that every student in our cohort feels supported, connected, and empowered to thrive both academically and personally.
Wellbeing is not just about managing stress; it’s about creating an environment where students can flourish. I am committed to fostering open communication, ensuring that every voice is heard when it comes to wellbeing concerns. I will actively seek your feedback on the challenges we face and work collaboratively to find solutions that benefit us all.
To promote a strong sense of community, I plan to organize regular wellbeing events such as mindfulness workshops, study breaks, and social gatherings that encourage connection and support among peers. These activities will not only help us unwind but also strengthen our relationships, creating a supportive network that we can rely on throughout our studies.
Additionally, I will advocate for increased access to mental health resources, such as counseling services and peer support programs, ensuring that every student knows where to find help when they need it.
As your Year One Wellbeing Representative, I am dedicated to prioritizing mental health and wellbeing in our academic journey. Together, we can create a positive and inclusive environment where every student in Chemical Engineering feels valued and supported.
