Tansy Xue
Hi! I’m Tansy, lovely to meet you :) As Wellbeing Rep I will:
1) LISTEN. I’m spending the campaigning period learning what you need most out of welfare. I’ll then gather these into a list and if I’m successful, enact my next steps; if not successful, I will pass them onto the successful candidate with my best wishes. If you don’t see me within the next couple days and want to raise anything at all, please email me at any time (tx1224) 😊
2) COMMUNICATE. Welfare encompasses so many interrelated factors. I will work together with the academic reps, members of faculty, disability and equality reps, older welfare officers, and anyone else who can help solve any problems beyond my personal capacity. There will also of course always be things that I haven’t personally gone through. What I’ll then do is do my best to learn from you to support you how you need.
3) ACT. Having co-led BioSoc and ChemSoc at my 3000-person sixth form college, co-created a 7-minute filmed drama on murderous croissants, and run a kazoo quartet, not only am I the perfect person to come to for all your welfare issues (for those exact reasons), I am someone who will put the utmost commitment into acting upon them effectively. I will figure out what’s going on with the upstairs Charing Cross toilets, and contact the right people to fix it. And I’ve been told my kazoo screaming sessions are very cathartic :)
Thanks for your time!
