Catherine Saat
Hi all! Cat here, your Wellbeing Rep from first year. If you thought I did a good job last year, I'm excited to share that I wish to continue!
Over the past year, I have been dedicated to make student life smoother and a bit more fun, especially since it was quite a change of pace for many of us. Whether you were swamped with assignments or stressed by deadlines, I worked hard to get your questions and feedback to the right people, raising awareness of issues in smaller meetings so we could make changes faster.
And of course tea and biscuits! The place to get free biscuits (and if you brought a mug, some tea), to have moments of connections, bringing our year (and others!) together. Along with the other Wellbeing Reps, we made small events/decorated the student office in theme to festivities or holidays in the year. I’ve also tried my best to keep you all updated—whether through meetings, announcements, or (yes) those emails you don’t read... Finally, I’ve kept active and open disucssions between students and staff to make sure your voice is heard, particually in SSCs.
I’m here to keep these initiatives going strong and to bring in fresh ideas. Let’s keep working together to make this year even better!
