Abigail Chiu
Hi everyone! I'm Abi and I would love to be the departmental Wellbeing representative for our year group! With the incredibly academic environment at Imperial, it's important to stay emotionally and physically well. By creating a more inclusive and friendly course body, where thoughts and struggles are validated, we can make the transition into uni a bit easier for us! If I'm elected as Wellbeing representative, I will collaborate greatly with my peers, Livy and Jacob and staff, and gladly voice holistic needs so that action can be taken. My focus will be on minimising student stresses and maximising happiness and productivity! I personally practise self-care a lot, whether it be playing games with friends, going to the gym, playing the flute or indulging in lots of good food; but like most people I'm a bit of a stresser when it comes to work! Finding methods to help me manage and space out my workload, healthy motivation, as well as seeking advice and support from upper years has really benefited me and I'm sure you all feel the same way! I would really enjoy this role, especially as I love talking to people and listening to new ideas! I would love to drive forward actual improvements to student welfare here at Imperial and help action changes that benefit us! Vote for me - I will be great at this role!!
