Yanni Chan
Hello, I am Yanni and I would be delighted to be your wellbeing representative this year! I believe that a healthy and supportive network is crucial for everyone to succeed both academically and personally. Having transitioned from a small class in secondary school to a large class here in uni, I appreciate the difficulty to speak up and adapt to new learning methods. I also understand that many of us have societies and club commitments, and may find it hard to achieve a work life balance. I strive to create a safe space for you to discuss our personal well-being and struggles and to bridge the gap between staff and students by giving you a voice. You are not alone!
As wellbeing rep, I would,
- create a safe space for everyone to discuss any your personal wellbeing or mental health problems
- provide or direct you to appropriate support on your worries or struggles, whether it be to staff or deparment reps
- give feedback of problems (anonymously if so desired) to staff so that your voices are heard
- create more events in the year to increase participation
Vote for me for wellbeing rep this year!
