Have you ever felt that things on BMB could be done differently? Have you felt that at times we deserved more extensive feedback on our work, or more guidance on how to approach certain ICAs? I for one definitely did, and that's why I am running to become your academic representative!
The past year of BMB has been absolutely amazing, espcially having the opportunity to carry out our very own (and to be fair rather chaotic) project in Lab Pod 1! However, I'm sure we can all agree BMB has proven to be challenging and that we need our voices to be heard - this is where I can help you!
As your Year 2 representative, I aim to:
- regularly take feedback from you all as a cohort, (e.g. through surveys, or informal feedback) and pass the information onto the BMB leads;
- making improvements to different aspects of Year 2 to facilitate our studies (e.g. petitioning for higher quality feedback on assignments);
- tackle any problems that may arise and collaborate with BMB leads to find solutions whilst maintaining minimal disruption;
As someone who is friendly and approachable, I am keen to work with not only the BMB leads, but the rest of our cohort in bringing about positive change. We can all appreciate how challenging our course can be, but together, we can make sure we continue to enjoy our studies and maintain our pride and enthusiasm in calling ourselves BMB students at Imperial!
