Bioengineering (UG): Year Four Academic Representative (Elec Eng Stream)

Hi, my brothers, sisters, and all my siblings in the BioEng Department,

I’m Ethan Zhou, and I’m running to be your Year Four Academic Representative (Elec Eng Stream).

Over the past three years, we’ve been through so much together—tackling coursework, exams, and facing the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19. We’ve pushed ourselves to get this far, and now, as we enter our final year, we all want a smooth, successful, and happy ending to our undergraduate journey. That’s where I come in.

I want to be your representative to make sure you have everything you need. I’ll provide you with first-hand updates what is going on in our department and meanwhile you can fully focus on what matters to you the most—your projects, job hunting, or Ph.D. applications. And when things get tough, I’m the one you can turn to. We’ll brainstorm, problem-solve, and get through it together.

My goals are:

  1. Clear Communication: I’ll ensure you’re always informed about important course details, deadlines, and any changes.

  2. Academic Support: Like previous reps, I’ll stand by you in any conflicts over revision materials, recordings, coursework, or exams.

  3. Remote Assistance: Even if you’re working remotely, I’ll make sure you feel connected and supported.
