Ahmad Orfali
Hey everyone,
My name is Ahmad; you'll probably hear my name a lot once I solve the Riemann hypothesis. I am a first-year undergraduate doing pure math, and I am standing to be elected for academic rep for a couple of key factors that will ensure the views of the whole cohort will be heard. Firstly, I have connections with 2nd years and above who study math, so I can get any concerns or problems answered very quickly. Secondly, I am very disciplined, attending all lectures, and thus will attend all meetings to ensure students have a say in the decisions made by the department. Thirdly, I am always active on social media, so I can be contacted whenever there is a problem. In order to confirm I have what it takes, for the past 2 years I've been volunteering to tutor math to as many people as possible for free; I've never asked for money because I believe it's my duty to help others be better versions of themselves.
As well as this, I will endeavor to give you opportunities to inform me of what I can do to improve your experience—because you know best what you want to change. I would be honored to represent you all this year and make a positive experience on your university experience.
