As a first year Medical Biosciences student passionate about the innovative field of personalised medicine, I am excited to apply for the position of Treasurer for Personalised Medicine Society. I am eager to play a part in managing the society’s finances effectively, ensuring that we have the resources to support our mission of exploring advancements in personalised medicine and promoting entrepreneurship within this field.

Key Objectives

• Transparent Financial Management: I will maintain clear and accurate financial records, ensuring that all income and expenses are meticulously tracked. This transparency will foster trust among our members and allow for informed decision-making.
• Budget Planning: I will create and manage a detailed budget for the society, seek out cost-effective solutions, allocating funds to maximise the impact of our events and activities. This includes setting aside resources for guest speaker lectures, academic workshops, networking opportunities.
• Fundraising and Sponsorship: I will actively seek out funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships, to increase our financial resources. My goal is to secure the necessary funds to support the society’s ambitious plans and initiatives.
