Omer Ahmed

Hi my name is Omer Ahmed. I am running for Web Master for the Materials Society as I have experience in web development while working at a University before coming to Imperial. I hope to make valuable improvements to the Materials Society website.

My previous experience included utilizing Django (Web Framework) to implement back-end systems for services for the Research Institute at KFUPM, where I also contributed to the design. There I was tasked with the creation of the Research Institute website where I:

• Formulated design concept with a focus on adaptability
• Initiated dialogue on different design elements
• Launched the site with back-end implementations for various services

If elected I promise to work diligently in this role, making improvements and communicating with Society members (including you!) about changes.
