Gastroenterology & Hepatology : Event Officer

Hey! I’m Ethan and I am a 2^nd year medic running to be your Event Officer next year.

The core of my endeavour is to revive and restart all the events before the society’s hiatus. This year specifically, there have been virtually no event being hosted and the society’s social media presence have also been quite absent.

To achieve this, I have extensive experience in managerial positions, evidence from my committee roles this year in 3 different societies. As GDSC Technical Director, I have hosted workshops from scratch for large events that attract more than 100 attendees. Furthermore, I am skilled in using Adobe software (Illustrator, InDesign) to create graphic designs for social media posts and other forms of promotional materials.

Here are some things I am determined to do next year:

Host ICSM’s FIRST Gastro & Hep Conference
Academic tutorials, tailored for early years students
Invite external speakers to come and speak at our talks
