Lowri Morris

A brief introduction: I’m Lowri, I’m a medic, and before coming here I’d lived in West Wales for my entire life.

I really want WelshSoc to be a place for socialising and having fun, and I have so many ideas for that:

- Welsh themed pub crawls: Who doesn’t love a pub crawl, right? Plus, with a vaguely Welsh theme, it’s even better, surely?

- Celebrating holidays/traditions: I haven’t really had a chance to celebrate any Welsh traditions since getting here, and I’m sure it’s the same for a lot of you. So why not get together on these days and make the most of them?

- Rugby matches: Based on our performance so far, I’m not too sure we’d actually enjoy the games, but at least in eachother's presence our losses are a little less painful.

- Inter-uni socials: Honestly, I'd love to get to meet more people from different unis - and even better if they're Welsh ;)

- Cooking socials: Making Welsh food and having a cute evening at someone’s flat sounds so fun. Plus my grandmother makes INCREDIBLE Welsh cakes and I’m currently working on copping the recipe ;)

- Slug nights: My love, the light of my life, the incredible Redback (or Slug for us cultured folk). I’m proposing a brilliant night of drinking with some gorgeous Welsh outfits to match. What’s not to love?

If this hasn't convinced you, I have a lovely bottle of fancy Welsh vodka that I'm willing to share (for legal purposes this is a joke).
