Students for Global Health: Chair

Hi! I'm Rishi, a third-year medical student :)

I would love to be Chair for Imperial Students for Global Health next year, having been on the committee for the past two years (Treasurer 23/24, Social Officer 22/23).

My vision for the year 2024/25 would be to hold three keynote events:

  • Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) National Meeting

As the National Policy Lead for UAEM UK, and a committee member for UAEM Europe, I would love to hold an event for UAEM enthusiasts across the country to meet and discuss the latest in technology transfer and global health policy. I'm running for National Coordinator at UAEM UK this year and will be well-connected to make the event exciting and unique.

  • SfGH Annual Careers Fair

I believe a freshers' fair-style event with various professionals in global health will be an innovative experience for students at Imperial College looking to pursue a career in global health.

  • London WHO Global Health Conference

This year I've helped organise the collaboration with the London World Health Organisation to hold a global health conference, in the mock format of a WHO General Assembly, for over 150 attendees. I would love to take the lead and repeat the event next year.

I've acted as an executive committee member this year; helping rewrite SfGH's constitution and fostering collaboration with LMAP Society for a speakers' series. I would love to continue my efforts in rebuilding SfGH as Chair, to provide a platform for all those interested in global health.
