Hi, my name is Yash, and I'd love to join the TEDx committee as an Advisor this year.
TEDx talks have been a passion of mine, since I've loved learning about incredible topics through the succinct 15-minute format - it never fails to spark curiosity for me. I was fortunate to deliver my very own TEDx-published talk too!
In 2021, I founded my school's first TEDxYouth@HABS Conference, since I wanted the students to be inspired from subject experts. From contacting TED, to successfully applying for the TEDx license, to securing £3500 in sponsorships from companies and alumni, I orchestrated TEDxYouth@HABS for two years. The event led to many students being able to learn the incredible stories of our speakers, and spark new ideas for themselves. I learned so much while hoping to make a seamless event from marketing to logistics to post-production - and I'd love to apply this to Imperial.
For both the conferences, I was delighted for many notable speakers to accept my invitations, such as Lord Karan Bilimoria, Alpesh Patel OBE, Shelim Hussain MBE, Michael Broadwith & Dr. Nikhil Shah to name a few! Leveraging Imperial's powerful network: studying at Imperial means we have access to the stellar alumni network, so I'd love to help secure many influential speakers who can share insights and inspire all of us students.
