Mustafaa Khan

Hello! I’m Mustafaa, a 2nd year Medical Student thrilled to run for oncology secretary.

I’m passionate about oncology because it's a rapidly evolving field in areas as divers as AI radiology, palliative care and immunotherapy. But I’ve been inspired by interacting with oncologists and cancer patients at my surgical placements so far and seeing the good that oncology can do for patients. Oncology society has helped me explore the field as I have attended the surgical oncology conference and careers panel last year.

In the past year, I have successfully taken on six committee roles, including respiratory secretary, SORA national conference lead, PO for pharmacology and ID, Nutritank events officer, and MedEd webmaster. This multifaceted engagement has honed my skills in time management, teamwork, and the ability to coordinate and execute events seamlessly. Specifically, I've gained insights into running conferences, making educational resources accessible, and effectively carrying out the responsibilities of a secretary.

Your support means a lot to me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to represent and contribute to the Oncology Society. This marks my second application for this role, reflecting my unwavering dedication.
