Hello my fellow devils,

As we enter a new season of hockey, I'm here to present my ideals and contributions to this ever-growing society as your potential deputy president. As an ex-figure skater turned ice hockey player, I am aware of the challenges of picking up this sport - trust me, a background in skating did NOT make it all that much easier. But where I may lack in experience, I will make-up for in hard work to ensure an inclusive environment for all, where every player, beginner or not, feels welcome and a part of our amazing community. This is a team sport and as such, I pledge to listen to any and all opinions anyone may have - unless someone suggests going skinny dipping in hyde park. Together with your president, and the other committee members, we will work collaboratively to ensure smooth functioning of our club and I will support the president in their leadership role, offering assisstance and guidance whenever needed.

P.S. Even if I don't get voted deputy, there is a possibilty I may be designated driver next year, so maybe start thinking about writing a will.
