Hey everyone! I’m Ryo Kusakari, running for the Publicity Officer position.
A little about me - I’m a first year BMB student from Japan, but I’ve been studying in the UK since the humble age of 5. Since joining ABACUS, I’ve felt that I’ve found a community that I can really thrive in - the plentiful good food, the clubbing, but above all the people who I’ve been able to share these experiences with. Next year, I want to give back to my community by promoting ABACUS further, creating a livelier and more vibrant community that more can call home.
Why am I fit for this role?
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m a serial clubber. But what’s clubbing without the friends to club with? Throughout the first 2 terms at imperial, I’ve had experience hosting and promoting pres for countless club nights, and I love getting people to come out for an unforgettable time. I’m excited to continue doing so as your ABACUS publicity officer next year.
Beyond socials, my artistic side makes me fit for the role. I have ample experince in graphic design through my EPQ in digital illustration, not to mention my photography skills are first class - I’ll strive to make sure you look your absolute best in all our photos.
I’m also chronically online (screen time averaging 12 hours over Christmas) so I’m sure there’s none more qualified to manage our instagram.
