Kanyin Arikawe

Gospel Choir: Social Secretary

Hey everyone I’m Kanyin, and I would love to be your Vice-President next year.

Joining the gospel choir in my second year has been an incredible blessing. In just one year, I've experienced spiritual growth, formed meaningful connections with wonderful people and have just been really blessed by this community. I would love to continue to nurture and grow this fellowship by:

  1. Supporting the President and Wider Committee: I understand the importance of teamwork in running a smooth choir. I'll work with the committee to ensure rehearsals run smoothly and deadlines for showcases are met.

  2. Open and Honest Communication: Communication is key to a healthy community. I'll ensure open and honest communication between the committee and members through regular updates, feedback forms, and one-on-one conversations. Be it changing a song or lowering the key, your voice matters!

  3. Spiritual Support and Encouragement: I'm passionate about nurturing our spiritual growth and continuing to have this space to grow as a community. Proverbs 27:17 says "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another". I would do this by trying to organize more worship nights, share more scripture and teachings before rehearsals, and be available to offer support when needed.

Ultimately, my goal is to keep Christ at the center of all we do and help us remember all we do, we do for God. Your support means a lot and I hope you consider me for VP!
