As a first-year international student from Mauritius, I've found a safe space in the Mauritian Society, where events are not just fun but a comforting reminder of home. Running for secretary, I pledge to work together with the team to enrich this sense of community, ensuring our society remains a supportive haven for all Mauritian students, as well as introducing our hospitality to others. My goal is to diversify our events, embracing our rich culture while addressing the academic and social needs of our members. From cultural celebrations to educational workshops, I aim to foster an environment where every member feels included, supported, and connected.
