I'm Arvin, or you might find me to appear as Ari in AnimeSoc Discord if you did not see me fooling around with a bunch of glowsticks during music events or karaoke.
Having been in ICAS for 3 years and the past year as the social officer, I got decent knowledge and experience about how things usually run in ICAS and how to make events happen. Therefore, I have decided also to try going a step forward and stand for the secretary position. In terms of paperwork, I am confident to say that I can handle paperworks and how to deal with the Union quite well (can't really go into this too much otherwise I'm afraid this will become a bit too problematic to post on the union's website), especially organising events, which is why I'm confident that I will be able to do this role.
Having been in my high school years as the events officer of the student council board, I have hands-on experience in planning, organising and executing events. In addition, I performed a short internship at the alumni department in my high school after graduating, where I was the assistant and helped in the communication and work in the relations team, where I developed good communication skills (both the good way and the bad way), essential for inter-uni events that LAU runs every year.
I hope to stay in ICAS during my life at Imperial, and continue to make it a better society for everyone.
