It is with great enthusiasm and dedication that I announce my candidacy for the position of Photosoc Secretary. With a deep appreciation for the art of photography and a commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community, here is the outline of my vision for the future and the initiatives I will undertake to advance our collective interests.
I recognize the pivotal role that digital presence plays in amplifying our voice and showcasing our talents. As someone with his own Instagram page, I'd like to curate a separate one for photos resulting from the diverse perspectives and endeavors of our photographers, expanding our reach and inspiring others to join our photography community. I have had the privilege of photographing events such as the ICSM fashion show and the IMCC dinner, hence, I understand the significance of such opportunities. As Secretary, I will advocate for the coverage of college events by our photographers. I would also like to bring to the table society-wide weekly theme competitions, and would love to bring external guest speakers to the society - something it lacks currently. I also plan on allocating workshops to beginners as well, making them feel welcome. I pledge to maintain open lines of communication: through regular updates, emails, and feedback mechanisms, I will ensure that every member feels valued, heard, and empowered.
