“The majority of players are looking for reasons to fold. I am looking for reasons to play.” This philosophy, championed by my poker idol Daniel Negreanu, guides my vision for our poker society.
As your chair, my goal is to elevate our society to new heights by leveraging my experiences, connections, and knowledge. Here’s what I propose:
- Technical Workshops: utilising insights gained from watching Daniel Negreanu’s course on Masterclass, I plan to organise workshops that cover Game Theory and Math, C-betting, Check-raising, bet sizing, bluffing, and multi-way dynamics.
- Trips: with my connections with dealers Grosvenor Bayswater, I will aim to organise Imperial-only nights, offering the experience of live casino play.
- New initiatives: I propose introducing a mini ‘Bad Beat Jackpot’ within our society. This will involve a small rake in each hand of our cash games, with the accumulated funds creating a communal jackpot to be won under specific conditions, adding an exciting layer to our games.
My poker journey began in the poker rooms of Grosvenor Casinos, with my most notable milestone being finishing 4th at the final table in the Vic Poker Room in a £6,600 prize money tournament. In addition, throughout 2023 I have accumulated over £3,000 in profits across various cash games with stakes ranging from £1/£2 to £5/£10.
I aim to build a vibrant community where members can grow, learn and share their passion for poker as I am committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone, regardless of their skill level.
