Aeronautics: President

Hey all,

My name is Parth, a current third year aeronautics student, running to be your Aerosoc President for the 24/25 academic year.

To give you a little bit about me: I originally wanted to become a pilot, but being unable to do so, I decided to take on this degree. I love playing cricket in SKEM164, heading to the union after any deadline (usually after but sometimes before), and I love planes too (shameless plug: I run an Instagram photography account: @aircrafts.aero.ic.ac.uk). I am also the current marketing officer for Aerosoc as well as being a wellbeing rep since my first year. As a result, I believe that I possess the passion, experience (within the committee/society, the department and among the cohorts) and initiative to be an ideal candidate for this position. Being one of the top courses at one of the top universities, I know as well as you how tough it is to be an aeronautics student here. Because of this, my main goals as your president are:

to place an emphasis on more socials, a great way to unwind after a day that could not get any worse (been there)
to bring you more of the best that aerospace has to offer, through more talks, networking opportunities and site visits, aiming to inspire aeronautical strength and pride amongst all of you

More importantly, you all deserve to have a fun and rewarding time here, and I will strive to make it happen. Vote Parth for Pres!
