Malaysian: Vice President

MNight has been a major highlight of my first year. Being involved in three divisions - Acting, Vocals and Dikir Barat – and occasionally helping with props, these four months have taught me that nothing feels better than devoting myself to something, witnessing everyone’s hard work, and eventually seeing it all come together to fruition. I believe I have a solid grasp on how each department joins together. The fun MNight practices always allow me to take my mind off my problems, fostering a sense of belonging. I am extremely grateful for the wholesome community and all the strong bonds that I have formed with amazing people through MNight as well as ICUMS.

If I am elected as Vice President, I will:

Improve publicity for MNight
Increase participation rate among freshers and ticket sales within and out of ICUMS
Improve logistics such as venue booking
Coordinate with other committee members to maintain the flow of event

Hence, in addition to ensuring a successful MNight to showcase the Malaysian culture, one of my goals is to enhance the sense of belonging at MNight, ensuring everyone can experience the warmth and inclusion that have been so pivotal to me. I also aim to support the president in extending this atmosphere throughout ICUMS.
