Hello everyone!
I’m Huaihou from department of Bioengineering trilled to run for the Spanner Bearer (Event officer) at CGCU.
This unique role is more than just a title; it embodies the spirit and values of our esteemed engineering union, requiring not only physical strength but also a strong character to uphold the symbolic spanner that is central to our traditions.
Throughout my time at our college, I've actively contributed to our community in numerous ways. From serving as the Wellbeing Representative, where I took the lead in organizing social events, to volunteering on scientific panels, I've embraced every opportunity to engage with and learn from the talented individuals in our union. I'm dedicated to be present at all major CGCU events, demonstrating my commitment to the symbolic responsibilities of being the Spanner Bearer.
On a physical note, I've practiced weight lifting and am able to sumo deadlift a barbell weighing 45 kg, showing that I am not just symbolically but also physically prepared to bear the spanner. This role is a unique blend of tradition, responsibility, and community spirit, and I am fully committed to honoring it.
