David Ye

Hi everyone, I am David from Y1 Math. After discussing this role with the current department rep, I am committed to represent the voice of the students and make a positive impact in the department.

First, I promise smooth communication within the department. I will constantly check in with students and reps from different year groups, conduct meetings with staff whenever necessary, and resolve any complaints to make sure everyone is happy. If you have beef with a lecturer for example, no need to worry, just send me straight to the front line, I'll definitely try to sort it!

Second, I will provide support to other student bodies associated with the math department. Whether it's MathSoc, Colloquium or even MathWiki, if you are remotely related to any aspect of the math department, I will always be here to help, I can be your Huxley room booker or your intermediary. Also, if you have any idea you wish to implement within the department, you have my full assistance.

Lastly, I plan to collaborate with staff to send out regular updates and announcements to ensure easy access to important information for everyone in the department. These updates will cover a range of topics including internship and research opportunities, upcoming events, departmental initiatives, and any changes or improvements being made within the department.

Also I kinda want to have a tea table in the MLC but no promises on this :D
