Hi! I’m Steph, your Deputy President (Finance & Services) this year!
In the past 7 months, I've successfully:
- Pushed for dedicated funds & resources towards sustainability within the Union
- Devised the core elements of the Union’s Sustainability Plan
- Delivered the London Student Sustainability Conference
- Actioned student feedback gathered from Sustainability and Events Forums
- Worked on lowering drink prices for students in Union venues
- … and more!
As a student, I was the Ethics & Environment Officer and Recreation Management Group Chair for 40+ CSPs. My experience in these roles compounded with my experience this year as DPFS have helped me deliver on my promises to you, and I will continue doing so in my second year as your DPFS!
My goals are to continue improving the student experience in these 4 key areas:
(1) Sustainability
- Embedding sustainability into all aspects across the Union
(2) CommUNITY
- Actively working with our students to develop safe & inclusive events led by students, for our students
(3) ACCESSibility
- Continue pushing for student-friendly prices across all services at the Union (bars, events, shops)
(4) Transparency
- Ensuring 2-way communication with students on Union processes & operations (including CSP finances, commercial operations, sustainability progress etc.)
